Race and Class in Streetcar

The issue of racial and class differences is prominent in A Streetcar Named Desire, as New Orleans is known to be a melting pot of nationalities and ethnicities. Here, we looked at the differences between Blanche’s and Stanley’s backgrounds and the effects they had on the drama as a whole.
